Colour Bind Competition - Actual trophies to be won!
By Finn Morgan - Sep 24, 2012
Okay, with the launch of Colour Bind going on basically as I write this, I have a pretty exciting thing to announce. Since Colour Bind is such a challenging game, we’re going to run a little competition - if you can be the first to achieve certain very difficult tasks in the game, you will get an actual physical trophy mailed out to you! How these trophies are built remains to be determined, but we will try to make them cool. All you have to do is be the first to do one of the following things:
- Finish all the single player levels with gold medals
- Finish the secret levels with a total best time of under six and a half minutes
- Get fifteen platinum medals
- Finish all the coop levels
- Uploading the coolest Steam Workshop level
The first four categories will be determined by you emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org, telling us which category you’ve finished, and the zipped up contents of your Replays/BuiltIn directory*. These can only be won by people who haven’t already been playing the game pre-launch - sorry, no beta testers or people with review copies allowed! The manner of judging the last trophy is yet to be determined, but it will be something along the lines of me looking at the contents of the Steam Workshop and seeing what’s the coolest - I’m not sure when we will make the cut off for this, but we’ll give people time to get to grips with the game. Maybe two weeks?
Anyway, we’ll update here when each trophy is won, but if you have missed the launch of the game don’t feel you have no chance - these challenges are not easy, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see them last at least a couple of days before they’re all won. It’s a hard game, after all. So, if you want some way to display your amazing prowess at either twitchy physics games, or level design for them, have at it! I hope you all have fun, and I hope you enjoy the game.
* This directory, if you have the Steam version of the game, will be something like “Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\colourbind\Replays\BuiltIn”.
